  3. How to broadcast your sport live – Step-by-step guide

- Checklist before going live

Before you go live in the Solidsport Broadcaster app you need to ensure everything is in order.

Firstly, make sure you have the Solidsport Broadcast app downloaded to the device you’re going to broadcast with. Also, be sure to be logged in to the Broadcast app. It’s also a good idea to check that the game you plan to broadcast is available in the app.

Ensure a stable internet connection

If you are unsure about your connection, then test it out by using Speedtest.net or similar services. We recommend a speed of at least 10 mbit upload.

Screenlock
If you are broadcasting from a tablet or smartphone, be sure to disable the screen lock feature. Otherwise, your viewers may experience the entire game displayed in a vertical orientation.

Battery on the tablet or smartphone

Ensure your device has sufficient battery life for the broadcast. To be on the safe side, keep the charger connected throughout the duration of the live.

Do not disturb

Make sure to enable Do Not Disturb mode on your device. This will prevent interruptions during the broadcast, such as incoming calls or notifications, which could disrupt the recording.

Tripod for stability
Place the tripod in the middle of the field or hall and if you can, a bit higher up on the bleachers. This way your viewers get a much better view of the game or competition.
